Descrizione:Naphthalene-2-carbothioamide is a benzannulated naphthalene derivative that has been shown to be effective against a wide range of bacteria, including Staphylococcus. It has been shown to inhibit P-glycoprotein activity and to have a cytotoxic effect on tumor cells in vitro. The compound also has an oral bioavailability of about 80%. Naphthalene-2-carbothioamide has been shown to be resistant to modification by enzymes such as carboxylesterases and amidases, which may contribute to its long half-life.
