Descrizione:6-Nitroveratryl chloroformate is a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme lysyl oxidase that has been shown to bind to DNA in vitro. This compound binds to lysine residues on actin filaments and inhibits their polymerization, which prevents the formation of cytoskeleton structures. 6-Nitroveratryl chloroformate has been shown to inhibit photochemical cross-linking of nucleic acids as well as nitric oxide production, leading to its potential use in the prevention of degenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease.
