Descrizione:6-Nitrobenzoxazole-2(3H)-one is an isomeric molecule that is used as a dietary supplement and in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals. It has been shown to be active against amines, which may be due to its ability to bind to nucleophilic centers and form hydrogen bonds. 6-Nitrobenzoxazole-2(3H)-one has also shown inhibitory properties against thp-1 cells, which are human promonocytic cells. The molecule is acidic and can react with hydrogen chloride (HCl) and trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) to produce nitrous acid (HNO). Nitrous acid has been shown to have protonating properties that may contribute to the molecule's anti-inflammatory effects.
