Descrizione:Notopterol is a natural product that belongs to the group of p-glycoprotein (p-gp) inhibitors. It can be used as an insecticide and has shown to have a matrix effect on the cell membrane. Notopterol has been shown to inhibit the activity of p-gp, which is responsible for pumping drugs out of cells. This inhibition prevents the removal of a wide range of structurally diverse drugs from cells, including anticancer agents, antibiotics, and other pharmaceuticals. Notopterol also inhibits mitochondrial membrane potential in human leukemia HL60 cells and Chinese hamster ovary cells.
