Descrizione:Nerol is a monoterpenoid indole compound that is found in many plants, most notably the Citrus aurantium. Nerol has been shown to have chemopreventive effects on skin tumor formation and inhibits the development of melanoma cells. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory properties which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of prostaglandins. Nerol is metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzymes into other compounds such as geraniol and linalool. The rate constants for these reactions are 2.2 x 10^-5 and 1.8 x 10^-4 M^(-1)s^(-1), respectively.
