Descrizione

Octadecyl isocyanate is an organic compound that can be used as a cross-linking agent in the production of polyurethane foam. It has a hydroxyl group and a viscosity of 3.2 cP at 25°C. The chemical formula for octadecyl isocyanate is CH3(CH2)8NCO, with a molecular weight of 169.5 g/mol. Octadecyl isocyanate reacts with ethylene diamine to form polyurethane foam, which can be used in the fabrication of furniture and mattresses. This product also has been shown to have antioxidant properties, due to its ability to remove free radicals from the body by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS).
