Descrizione:Octylsalicylate is an ethylene diamine derivative that acts as a membrane penetrant, and is used in the synthesis of coumarin derivatives. Its clinical properties are not well-established, but it has been used in sunscreen formulations and other pharmaceutical preparations. Octylsalicylate is also used as a model system for human skin permeability. This drug has been shown to protect against radiation-induced damage of human skin and inhibit the growth of zirconium oxide-induced malignant cells in vivo.
