Descrizione:4-Oxo-cyclophosphamide is an activated form of cyclophosphamide, a cancer drug that belongs to the class of drugs called alkylating agents. This compound has been shown to be effective in the treatment of cancers such as leukemia and breast cancer. 4-Oxo-cyclophosphamide is metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzymes in human liver microsomes, yielding 2 metabolites: a hydroxyl derivative and a neutral product. The pharmacokinetics of 4-oxo-cyclophosphamide have been studied in rats and humans. It has also been shown that this compound can be used for wastewater treatment because it binds strongly to organic matter.
