Informazioni sul prodotto
- Benzeneacetic Acid, Alpha-Ethyl-, Hydrazide
2-Phenylbutanohydrazide is a molecule that has shown inhibitory activities against plk1, a protein kinase that is associated with Alzheimer's Disease and other degenerative diseases. The compound also inhibits methionine aminopeptidase and has been found to have anti-inflammatory effects. 2-Phenylbutanohydrazide binds to the enzyme by occupying its active site, inhibiting the enzyme from carrying out its function of converting amino acids into proteins. It also binds to the receptor site on inflammatory cells, blocking the production of inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-6. 2-Phenylbutanohydrazide also shows antipsychotic effects in mice, which may be due to its ability to bind to dopamine D2 receptors in the brain.
