Descrizione:D-Phenothrin is a pyrethroid insecticide that has been shown to be effective against various species of insects. D-Phenothrin is used for the control of pest infestations in grains and cereals, as well as in animal feedstuffs. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of some enzymes, such as esterase, glutathione reductase and cytochrome p450. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy can be used to detect the presence of D-phenothrin with a high sensitivity. The glycol ethers are often used as solvents for this compound because they are chemically stable and do not react with d-phenothrin. Toxicological studies have been conducted on animals to determine its potential toxicity.
