Descrizione:1-Phenylimidazole is a drug that belongs to the group of aromatic hydrocarbons. It is used as a hypolipidemic agent and an antihypertensive, but it has also been shown to have a variety of other biological effects that are not yet well understood. 1-Phenylimidazole has been shown to inhibit the activity of p-450 isozymes in rat liver microsomes and to suppress energy metabolism in CD-1 mice. This drug may also act as an inhibitor of piperonyl butoxide and chlorine atom, which are both considered carcinogens.
