(1-Phenylcyclopropyl)methanamine has shown anticancer potential as a potent, selective, and covalent inhibitor of tyrosine hydroxylase. It is a cell-permeable inhibitor that binds to the active site of the enzyme and prevents its activity. The potency of this compound was measured using an assay that measures cellular proliferation in the nanomolar range.
