Descrizione:Potassium-t-butoxide is a chemical reagent that is used as a reactive proliferator. It has been shown to be able to induce the iodination of pyrimidine compounds in a hydrogen bond reaction. The iodinated product can then undergo transfer reactions with other nucleophiles. This chemical reagent has also been shown to be reactive with quinoline derivatives, which can lead to the production of cytotoxic drugs for HIV infection and cancer treatment. Potassium-t-butoxide has also been shown to have potential for use in the control of insulin resistance and dyslipoproteinemia by decreasing the activity of proinflammatory cytokines released by macrophages.
