Informazioni sul prodotto
4-(2-Pyridyl)imidazole is an imidazole with two pyridine rings. It is a weak chelating agent that forms complexes with metal ions, such as copper and iron. The enthalpy of the reaction between 4-(2-pyridyl)imidazole and copper(II) ion was determined calorimetrically using a stepwise method. The enthalpy of the reaction between 4-(2-pyridyl)imidazole and iron(III) ion was determined by calorimetric studies. The structure of 4-(2-pyridyl)imidazole was confirmed by X-ray crystallography.
