Descrizione:1-Phenyl-2-propyn-1-ol is an organic solvent that is used as a reactant in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. It can be immobilized to a surface or in a column using metal ions, such as silver ions, and has been shown to have anticancer activity against cervical cancer cells. 1-Phenyl-2-propyn-1-ol has also been shown to inhibit protease activity in culture supernatants from Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, and Serratia marcescens.
