Descrizione:4-Phenylbutyric acid is a prophylactic antibiotic that has minimal toxicity. It has been shown to significantly up-regulate protein synthesis in kidney cells and to have neural cell protective effects. 4-Phenylbutyric acid also inhibits the production of dextran sulfate, which may be useful for the treatment of liver injury. This compound has been tested as an investigational agent for squamous cell carcinoma and other cancers.
