Descrizione

Procymidox is a chemical pesticide that belongs to the class of phenylpyrazoles. It has a synergic effect with other pesticides and has been shown to have high resistance against bacteria. Procymidox is used for the control of citrus canker, which is caused by the bacterium Xanthomonas citri. This compound can be applied as a spray or dip and it also has an effect on the matrix in which it is applied. The compound was tested on bacterial strains from plants, soil, and water samples and found to be effective against various types of bacteria. Procymidox may be used as a sample preparation technique for natural compounds that are difficult to extract due to their hydrophobic properties or as an analytical method for determining terminal residues in foodstuffs such as maternal blood or galleria mellonella.
