Descrizione:4-Pyridazinecarboxylic acid is a salt that contains sodium. It is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in water, ethanol, and acetone. It has been shown to be effective against Leishmania species and Cryptococcus neoformans. 4-Pyridazinecarboxylic acid inhibits the growth of these fungi by binding to their cell membrane and inhibiting protein synthesis. 4-Pyridazinecarboxylic acid forms coordination complexes with metal ions that are involved in electron transfer reactions during the oxidative phosphorylation process. This leads to a decrease in ATP production and an increase in reactive oxygen species (ROS), which disrupts the function of macrophages and other phagocytic cells, leading to immunosuppression.
