Descrizione:Pyrethrum is a natural insecticide that is extracted from the flowers of the chrysanthemum plant. This extract contains pyrethrins, which are a type of pyrethroids. Pyrethrins disrupt the function of insect nerve cells and muscle contractions. The matrix effect refers to the increased potency of pyrethrum when it is combined with other compounds such as lindane or permethrin. Colloidal gold has been used as a model system to study how these compounds work in insects. Treatment trials have shown that pyrethrum can be effective in combating insects like cockroaches, flies, and mosquitoes. Pyrethrum also has anti-inflammatory properties and may be used for treatment of skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
