Descrizione:Phenyl dichlorophosphate is a salt that contains sodium, chlorine, and the organic compound ethylene diamine. It has been used as an anti-inflammatory agent for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. Phenyl dichlorophosphate binds to fatty acids in the gut lining and prevents them from binding to hydrogen atoms, which are necessary for the production of hydrochloric acid. This leads to decreased secretion of hydrochloric acid from the stomach and reduced inflammation in the bowel wall. The mechanism of action of phenyl dichlorophosphate may also be due to its ability to bind with nitrogen atoms in tissue culture cells, which may lead to an increase in cellular metabolism.
