Descrizione:Pentafluorobenzyl bromide is a chemical reagent that belongs to the group of aromatic compounds. It is used as an analytical method for the detection of 2,4-dichlorobenzoic acid in blood, serum, and urine samples by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Pentafluorobenzyl bromide reacts with carboxylic acids such as 2,4-dichlorobenzoic acid to form ester derivatives that can be more easily detected by mass spectrometry. This reaction also produces benzalkonium chloride. Pentafluorobenzyl bromide is toxic and should be handled with care.
