Descrizione:2-Phenoxybenzoic acid hydrazide is a non-steroidal analgesic that binds to benzodiazepine receptors in the brain, which prevents the binding of GABA. The compound has been used as an analgesic in animal models and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activities. It also has been found to possess pharmacological activity against muscle spasms and pain relief in rats. 2-phenoxybenzoic acid hydrazide was found to be more potent than other NSAIDs such as flumazenil, ketoprofen, and ibuprofen in its ability to produce analgesia. This agent is not active orally as it is metabolized by hepatic enzymes before it can reach the blood stream and brain.
