Descrizione:Perfluoro-15-Crown-5 is a perfluoro compound that has been shown to be an effective oxygen carrier, with increased oxygen-carrying capacity and reduced hemolysis. It also has the ability to increase tumor perfusion in animal models by increasing blood flow to the tumor. Perfluoro-15-Crown-5 has been used for the diagnosis of blood group and for the determination of serological tests. Perfluoro-15-Crown-5 is also effective as a contrast agent in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET).
