Descrizione

Rilapladib is an inhibitor of the class of lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (LpPLA2) that has a potent inhibitory effect on the synthesis of pro-inflammatory and pro-thrombotic mediators. Rilapladib is a lipid-lowering drug that inhibits LpPLA2, which is involved in the production of inflammatory and thrombotic mediators. The clinical efficacy and safety of rilapladib has been studied in patients with coronary artery disease who are at risk for cardiovascular events. Results from these studies reveal that rilapladib can reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.
