Descrizione:Rhein-9-anthrone is a protein synthesis inhibitor that binds to the formyl peptide receptor of the cell membrane. It is used as a medicine in Japan and China, where it is extracted from the root of Rhei rhizoma. Rhein-9-anthrone has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by binding to acetate extract, which leads to an increase in PGE2 levels and decreased redox potential. The drug also shows anti-inflammatory properties, inhibiting urea nitrogen and autoimmune disease activity.
