Racet desethyl oxybutynin hydrochloride is a drug that is used to treat overactive bladder, also known as bladder hyperactivity. It can be used in combination with other medications or on its own. If you are taking Racet desethyl oxybutynin hydrochloride, you should avoid other drugs that may have an adverse effect on the body's ability to metabolize it. These include medications that affect the liver, such as erythromycin and ketoconazole; those that affect blood clotting, such as warfarin and aspirin; those that may cause seizures, such as carbamazepine; and those that may lead to abnormal heart rhythms, such as amiodarone. You should also not drink alcohol while taking this medication because it can increase the risk of side effects.
