Rosarin is a natural compound that is found in plants and fruits. It has been shown to inhibit acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme that breaks down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Rosarin has also been found to scavenge anion radicals, which are reactive oxygen species. This action may be responsible for the antioxidant properties of rosarin. Rosarin has been shown to have a positive effect on autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis.br>

Rosarin can be used for sample preparation for biochemical analysis by adding a small amount of trifluoroacetic acid (TFAA) to break down the ester bonds in rosarin's chemical structure. TFAA is added because it does not react with rosarin's other functional groups. The resulting product can then be analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.br>
