Descrizione

Ruberythric acid is a natural compound that belongs to the class of anthraquinone glycosides. It has been shown to have carcinogenic potential in tissue culture and to be an active component in carthamus tinctorius. Ruberythric acid has been found to inhibit the growth of human skin cancer cells through hydrogen bonding interactions, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis. The mechanism of action for ruberythric acid involves inhibition of DNA synthesis, protein synthesis, and mitochondrial membrane potential.
