Descrizione

Stearylpyridinium chloride is a cationic surfactant that has been used as a precursor to other compounds. It exhibits an inhibitory effect on oxymyoglobin, which is responsible for the development of hypoxia in the body. Stearylpyridinium chloride also inhibits fatty acids from binding to the cell membrane and transporting across it. This property makes it a valuable compound in the production of homologous series of fatty alcohols and fatty acid esters. It can be extracted from recycled sources such as covid-19 pandemic or cetylpyridinium chloride, which are both used in soaps, cosmetics, and lotions. The solid catalyst form of stearylpyridinium chloride is used in industrial settings as a replacement for hydrogen gas. Stearylpyridinium chloride is also used to produce high-quality soap products and other household products.
