Descrizione

Sodium ferulate is a natural phenolic compound that belongs to the group of dietary antioxidants. It has been shown to inhibit the apoptosis pathway in cells, which may be due to its ability to induce DNA fragmentation and activate the caspase-3 enzyme. Sodium ferulate also has anti-inflammatory effects and has been shown to reduce bowel disease rates in rats. This compound can be used as an antioxidant in food products because it inhibits protein oxidation and p-hydroxybenzoic acid. Sodium ferulate may have a matrix effect on melanoma cells, where it increases the production of signal peptide and response element proteins.
