Descrizione

Succinic anhydride is a chemical compound that is used in the production of polymers and plastics. It is a crystalline solid which can be dissolved in glycol ethers, such as ethylene glycol dimethyl ether, to produce reaction solutions. The process optimization for succinic anhydride has been studied using sodium citrate as a catalyst, which leads to a higher yield of succinic acid. Succinic anhydride also has the ability to reduce kidney bean proteins and human serum proteins, with an activity index of ca. 50%. This chemical has been shown to be stable at high temperatures and pressures, making it ideal for use in wastewater treatment systems. Succinic anhydride is also used in the production of polyesters and other polymers that require the introduction of hydroxyl groups into their structures.
