Descrizione

Sodium hydrosulfide is a chemical that binds to DNA, thereby preventing transcription and replication. It has been shown to induce neuronal death in experimental models of stroke. Sodium hydrosulfide also inhibits the activity of enzymes such as polymerase chain reaction, dinucleotide phosphate, and phosphoglycerate kinase. The inhibitory effects on these enzymes are reversible and not permanent. !--StartFragment-->Sodium hydrosulfide is used in medicine for the treatment of heart attacks caused by myocardial infarcts in conjunction with other drugs like aspirin or nitroglycerin.
