Descrizione:2,2'-Thenoin is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme thiophene 2,3-dioxygenase (TDO) and also inhibits other enzymes related to the benzoin condensation. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of TDO in both in vitro and in vivo studies. 2,2'-Thenoin was found to inhibit the formation of ATP by inhibiting the activity of ATP synthase. This drug also inhibits other enzymes related to the benzoin condensation and can be used for treating cancer. The 2,2'-thenoin analogs have shown potential as anti-cancer drugs that target DNA synthesis.
