It also inhibits the production of amyloid beta peptides by inhibiting the proteolytic activity of γ-secretase. This compound has been shown to have a potency greater than other dipyrromethane inhibitors and sulfone inhibitors. 2,3,6-trifluorobenzaldehyde has been found to be effective in the conformational analysis of γ-secretase and in the inhibition of γ-secretase activity.
