The sequences of these two amino acids have been determined and found to be phylogenetically related to each other. H-Thr-Gly-OH was synthesized by the ethyl esterification of H-Thr with Gly. This reaction product has been shown to have locomotor activity in Drosophila melanogaster and may also possess some other properties that are unknown at this time.
