Descrizione:The compound 5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1,6-naphthyridine is a potent inhibitor of the integrase enzyme. This compound has been shown to have a cytotoxic effect on cells in culture and has been found to inhibit replication of HIV and herpes simplex virus type 1. The cytotoxic effect of this compound may be due to its ability to inhibit the growth factor receptor. The benzimidazole derivative has a boronic acid group that can form a covalent bond with an amide group on the protein receptor. This bond inhibits the binding of the ligand to the protein receptor and prevents cell proliferation.
