Descrizione:Thonningianin A is a natural compound that has been shown to have cytotoxic properties. It inhibits autophagy and increases the mitochondrial membrane potential in rat liver microsomes. Thonningianin A also has a hypoglycemic effect in cultured cells, which may be due to its inhibition of gluconeogenesis. It has shown anti-inflammatory effects on lung fibroblasts and cardiac cells, as well as an ability to inhibit P450 activity. Thonningianin A has not been found to cause any adverse reactions or toxic effects at high doses, but it does show some degree of toxicity at low doses.
