Descrizione:tert-Butyllithium is a model system for studying the reactivity of bicyclic heterocycles. It has been shown to be reactive with monoclonal antibodies and other proteins, forming stable complexes. The reaction mechanism of tert-Butyllithium is not yet fully understood, but it has been shown that steric interactions are important. X-ray crystal structures have been used to reveal the molecular response of tert-Butyllithium to hydroxyl groups and amide groups in diethyl succinate. There is also some evidence that kinetic data can be used to help understand the reaction mechanism of tert-Butyllithium.
