Triazophos is a pesticide that belongs to the chemical class of organophosphates. It has been widely used in agricultural, domestic, and industrial applications for the control of pests such as insects, mites, and rodents. Triazophos is an organophosphate insecticide with high toxicity. The chronic toxicity of triazophos is low because it does not accumulate in mammals, but acute toxicities are high. In addition to its use as a pesticide, triazophos also has analytical applications in chromatographic analysis and colloidal gold staining. Studies have shown that triazophos can be used for wastewater treatment by degrading organic matter and improving the quality of effluent water. Triazophos has synergistic effects when combined with sodium salts or nitrite ions.
