Descrizione:5-Thiazolemethanol is a synthetic compound that is used as an antimicrobial agent. It inhibits bacterial growth by disrupting the cell membrane and interfering with protein synthesis. 5-Thiazolemethanol has been shown to be effective against Escherichia coli, Salmonella enterica, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and other bacteria. 5-Thiazolemethanol is not toxic to humans and does not cause irritation or sensitization. The material has been classified as a low level of toxicity in animal studies. This chemical has also been found to have no mutagenic effects on human erythrocytes.
