2,4,5-Triphenylimidazole is a monoclonal antibody that reacts with influenza virus. It has been shown to bind to the influenza virus and inhibit the interaction of the virus with its receptor. 2,4,5-Triphenylimidazole has photochemical properties that allow it to be used in chemiluminescent assays for various substances. The light emission from this compound can be used as an indicator for a reaction mechanism. 2,4,5-Triphenylimidazole is soluble in hydrochloric acid and has been shown to have potent inhibitory activity against growth factor receptors on cells.
