Descrizione:(Triphenylphosphoranylidene)acetonitrile is a phosphorane that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the inflammatory response in animal models of bowel disease. It also has been shown to be effective in treating inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and multiple sclerosis. This drug binds to leukotriene D4, an inflammatory mediator, and inhibits its production by blocking the enzyme 5-lipoxygenase. The compound also has been shown to possess anti-inflammatory properties due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. (Triphenylphosphoranylidene)acetonitrile is used as a pharmaceutical preparation for the treatment of bowel disease, inflammatory diseases, and other conditions.
