Descrizione:Tetramethylammonium borohydride is a reducing agent that reduces epidermal growth factor (EGF) in mammalian tissue. This chemical has been used to prepare monoclonal antibodies to EGF. Tetramethylammonium borohydride has also been used as an analytical chemistry reagent, for example, to measure the concentration of metal hydroxides in samples. It is also used as a catalyst for the reduction of fatty acids and cationic surfactants. Tetramethylammonium borohydride has been shown to have anti-tumor effects on subcutaneous tumors.
