Descrizione:Tergitol TMN-6 is a surfactant that is used in the treatment of wastewater. It is a hydrophobic, nonionic surfactant that contains ethoxylated alcohols, fatty acids, and quaternary ammonium compounds. Tergitol TMN-6 can solubilize oils and other hydrophobic substances found in wastewater. It also has a high kinetic rate and can be used to remove glyphosate from water. Tergitol TMN-6 has been shown to be toxic to micelles, which are aggregates of molecules that form when detergent molecules attach to polar or ionic substances. This produces micelles with a hydrophobic core surrounded by an outer layer composed of the detergent molecules. Tergitol TMN-6 also inhibits lipase activity and can be used for weed science applications.
