Tri-p-tolylamine is a compound that is formed from the reaction of p-toluidine and triethylamine. This product has been used as a palladium catalyst in the synthesis of organic compounds. Tri-p-tolylamine has been shown to have a constant dipole, which may be due to the presence of nitrogen atoms in its molecule. The detection time for this compound is short and its transport properties are low. Tri-p-tolylamine also has kinetic energy and activation energies, which can be determined by measuring the redox potentials of this compound. This product is primarily cationic polymerization and it exhibits amine morphology when examined with polarized light microscopy.
