Tricyclohexylphosphine is a x-ray crystal structure that has been shown to be used in the synthesis of glycol ethers. It is also used as a catalyst for the transfer reactions that are involved in the synthesis of chitosan quaternary ammonium. Tricyclohexylphosphine is also known to be used to treat bowel disease and eye disorders. The coordination geometry of tricyclohexylphosphine is tetrahedral, which makes it an excellent catalyst for transfer reactions because it can easily react with molecules that have different shapes. Tricyclohexylphosphine has been shown to fluoresce when mixed with certain substances such as glycerol, which can be helpful in structural analysis.
