Descrizione

Tetracosane is a liquid hydrocarbon that has a phase transition temperature of -116.1°C and is often used in polymer production. It is also used as an additive in the production of polyurethane foam, due to its ability to inhibit oxidation catalysts. Tetracosane has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect on trigeminal nerve cells and can be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. This compound has also been shown to have transcription-polymerase chain reaction (PCR) activity and induces apoptosis in some strains of bacterial cells, such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
