2,4,6-Trimethoxybenzonitrile is a ligand that forms coordination complexes with metal ions. It can be used to make N-oxide compounds and reaction products with aryl chlorides. The 2,4,6-trimethoxybenzonitrile ligand has been shown to form cross-coupling complexes with benzotriazolyl.
