• Descrizione: Triethanolamine acetate is an extractant that is used to remove radioactive materials from water. It has been shown to be effective in removing the α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor from hydroxyapatite and to be able to bind to the receptor in a manner similar to nicotine. Triethanolamine acetate has also been shown to be effective as a control agent for autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. This extractant can also be used in structural studies of proteins with hydroxy groups, such as α-amylase and α-chymotrypsin.
