Vincetoxicoside B is a natural compound found in the leaves of Vincetoxicum rossicum. It has hepatoprotective functions and has been shown to protect against acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity in mice. Vincetoxicoside B has also been shown to inhibit hepatitis C virus (HCV) replication and reduce the severity of chronic viral hepatitis. Vincetoxicoside B has antioxidative properties, which may be due to its ability to regulate mitochondrial membrane potential, increase cytosolic Ca2+, and inhibit reactive oxygen species production.
